Gray Zone Warfare drops us onto Lamang, a jungle island in Southeast Asia where everything wants us dead: the enemy AI, the other PMCs, the terrain, and occasionally each other.
We run as Crimson Shield International. We insert, we loot, we complete our tasks, and we try very hard to extract with the same number of people we came in with. Results vary.
When we play
Most evenings. Check the Discord, jump into the voice channel and grab a seat on the chopper.
How we play
- We move as a squad. Lone wolves get eaten by the jungle.
- Callouts before shooting. “Contact front” is useful. “AAAAH” is not.
- If it moves in the bushes, check the squad list first.
- Loot is shared. Mostly. The guy who gets downed first doesn’t get to complain.
- Nobody leaves until everyone is on the helicopter. Unless it’s leaving. Then run.
Field notes
- The jungle is beautiful. Take a moment to enjoy it before you die in it.
- Night raids are atmospheric, terrifying and the number one cause of friendly fire.
- Fall damage is real. So is the guy who forgot.
- Every extraction is a team effort. Every death is someone else’s fault.
